Our Story

Little Minds Montessori is a non-sectarian and non-denominational program established in January 2009. We are proud to offer our community a quality education in the Montessori Method along with before- and after-care services. Our warm and nurturing staff includes certified Montessori Directors and Assistants with credentials in early childhood education and years of meaningful experience working with children. Little Minds is a member of the American Montessori Society (AMS) and is licensed by the OCFS of New York State operating year-round.

Mission Statement

Every child carries within them the person they will become. At Little Minds Montessori, we believe the school community is responsible for discovering and nurturing the unique individual potential of each child. Our curriculum provides a strong academic foundation while challenging each child to learn at their own pace. Our classrooms are rich with Montessori materials and activities that promote both intellectual and social growth. We instill, through example and action, a love of learning, a strong work ethic, creativity, respect, and compassion. Our Philosophy

The philosophy of Little Minds Montessori, Inc. is rooted in the fundamental teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori. Our method builds on the individual skills and knowledge acquired during the preschool and kindergarten years. Through multi-age classrooms rich with Montessori materials, your child actively engages in their own learning. They are free to move forward quickly or repeat activities as needed, achieving mastery at their own pace and without pressure.
