Little Minds Montessori

A Note from the Director

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Thank you for your interest in Little Minds Montessori and for taking the time to visit our website. We hope it offers you a meaningful glimpse into who we are and what we can offer both you and your child.

At Little Minds Montessori, we introduce children to the joy of learning from an early age in a warm, nurturing, and friendly environment. Our goal is to build their confidence, spark their curiosity, and instill a lasting enthusiasm for learning.

We follow the Montessori method, which encourages each child’s natural desire to learn while supporting their academic, social, and physical development. Through observation and respect for individual growth, we cater to each child’s unique personality and pace.

While we’re glad to share information through words and images, we believe the true essence of our environment can only be experienced in person. We invite you to visit our school, observe our children in action, and see firsthand the thoughtful, calm, and purposeful atmosphere we cultivate.

Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make, one that deserves the same care and consideration as selecting a home. Together with our Board of Management, I warmly welcome you to explore Little Minds Montessori, and I look forward to the opportunity of supporting you and your child on this special journey.

Warmly,
Manjula W.

Our Mission

At Little Minds Montessori, our mission is to provide parents with peace of mind, knowing their children are in safe, caring hands. We create an environment where each child’s natural curiosity is nurtured, allowing them to learn, grow, and thrive at their own pace.

Montessori Curriculum

At Little Minds Montessori, our curriculum is rooted in the Montessori philosophy, focusing on individualized, hands-on learning. We carefully adapt the classroom environment to meet each child's developmental stage and needs. Through carefully hand crafted traditional Montessori materials that encourage exploration, independence, and concentration, children build foundational skills in a peaceful and respectful setting. Our goal is to nurture confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning in every child.

Afterschool Program

Little Minds Montessori provides a licensed After School Program for children ages 3 to 6, combining the Montessori curriculum with enriching activities. In this nurturing environment, preschoolers foster early reading and writing skills, independence, and confidence. The program promotes social-emotional growth, meaningful peer interactions, and individualized learning paces. With small class sizes, hands-on learning, and 2, 3, or 5-day options, children receive the attention they need to thrive.

Summer Fun Activity Program

Every summer, children at Little Minds Montessori enjoy a fun program that brings learning to life. Our Summer Fun Activity Program features visits from a mobile petting zoo and a magic show, hands-on science experiments with educators from the Long Island Children's Museum, a party bus experience, outdoor planting and picnics, creative arts and crafts, lively music, and outdoor water and sand play. All activities occur at our school, ensuring a safe and joyful environment for memorable summer experiences.

What Our Parents are Saying…

“The most important period of life is not the age of university studies, but the first one, the period from birth to the age of six.”
